About the Fund
The Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund (AIAF) is a new pan-African Infrastructure Fund established with a vision to positively contribute to economic growth and development of Africa, and a goal of investing profitably, responsibly, and sustainably in infrastructure projects and services.
The Fund is sponsored by Africa50, anchored by African institutional investors, and is targeting like-minded investors whose interests and investments in Africa are aligned. The Fund is independently managed by an experienced Investment Team, with an Investment Committee deeply rooted in Africa and with strong expertise on the continent.
The Fund is intended to be a 12-year closed-ended fund targeting US$500 million of capital commitments to be raised over multiple closings and to be invested in targeted sectors across Africa, including power and energy, transportation and logistics, water and sanitation, and digital and social infrastructure.
Description
As an Executive Assistant, you will report to the CEO and the Senior Partner, and be in charge of supporting the IAF’s management and team members’ logistics through scheduling meetings, prioritizing and responding to emails, answering and returning phone calls, organizing documents, maintaining records, taking notes at meetings, and handling travel arrangements and any other administrative tasks required by the team.
Principal Responsibilities
• Manages the team database of contacts
• Coordinates travel booking arrangements with travel agents on behalf of the team
• Works with team members to confirm travel itinerary details, routing destinations, travel dates, budgetary considerations, etc.
• Prepares routine correspondence such as emails, courier dispatch, invitations, etc.
• Manages the filing of incoming and outgoing official correspondence as required
• Works with the team to ensure that the travel file includes logistics-related information
• Prepares expense reports for the CEO, Senior Partner, and other team members as appropriate
• Receives and screens telephone calls, emails, and visitors, to save time and minimizes distractions for the CEO and Senior Partners
• Manages calendars, schedules appointments, and arranges meetings, and conferences for the CEO, Senior Partners, and others in the team
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications and Experience
• Focused and rigorous 8+ years in a similar position
• Demonstrated academic excellence
• Business Administration-related Masters and Bachelor degrees
• Strong relationship to Africa - it could be by origin or a demonstrated long-term interest/commitment (existing relationships in Africa are a plus)
• Fluent in both English and French
