Lena Militisi
Principal Legal Counsel, Administration and Governance
Ms. Militisi joined Africa50 as Senior Legal Counsel in September 2019. Prior to this, she directed the legal department of I&M Bank in Rwanda and served as company secretary and legal advisor to the CEO, the executive committee, and the board of directors. She started her career at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, rising to the position of treasury counsel to the Secretary-General and Secretary to the Treasury, where she worked on public contracts, international conventions, and privatizations. She was also a member of the committee on reform of the legal business environment of the Ministry of Justice.
Lena holds a Master’s degree in Private Law from the University of Toulouse in France, and a BA in Law from the University of Saint Louis in Belgium. She is a citizen of Rwanda.
