Africa50 Reaches out to SADC and Botswanan Authorities

From April 4-6, 2018, Africa50 CEO Alain Ebobisse visited Botswana for meetings with the Minister of Finance, the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the Botswana Public Officer Pension Fund (BPOPF), and the Botswana Development Corporation (BDC). He was accompanied by Investor Relations Officer Goke Jobi, and Special Assistant and Investment Officer, Laone Hulela.

The visit was part of Africa50’s regular outreach to potential partner countries and institutional investors, regional economic groups, and business and development associations. The delegation was received by Minister of Finance, Kenneth Matambo, SADC Executive Secretary Stergomena Lawrence Tax, BPOPF CEO Boitumelo Molefe, and BDC Managing Director Bashi Gaetsaloe.

Mr. Ebobissé briefed the officials on Africa50’s activities and explored areas for cooperation. The interlocutors were supportive of Arica50’s mission to speed infrastructure development in Africa and pledged to follow up on the discussions.
