Fatoumata joined Afroica50 in 2024. Her professional journey commenced at the SONATEL Group, where she dedicated over 18 years of her career. Within the Orange Business Services (B-to-B division), she initially served as the Operational Marketing Manager in 2000. Over the years, she took on on roles such as Head of Corporate Communications and subsequently Head of Go-to-market and Customer Experience for the Mass Market. 

In 2019, Fatoumata transitioned to FONSIS, the Senegalese sovereign wealth fund, assuming the role of Chief Strategy and Communications Officer. Her contributions led to her appointment in 2023 as President of POLIMED, investee company of FONSIS in charge of construction and operation of Health Infrastructure.

Fatoumata holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and International Affairs from ISEG Strasbourg, as well as a Master's degree in SMEs Management and Strategy from Strasbourg University.
