Africa50 has an independent investment process and seeks to generate commercial risk adjusted returns for its investments across key infrastructure sectors: Energy (including power generation and related parts of the value chain), Midstream gas, Transportation, ICT, Health infrastructure, Education and Fintech.

Purpose of the Role

The intern will support the effective day-to-day operation of the Office of the Group CEO, with exposure to executive administration, travel and mission logistics, meeting coordination, protocol, stakeholder engagement, and special projects. The role is suited to a highly organized and service-oriented candidate who can operate professionally in a fast-moving and confidential environment. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Executive Travel and Logistics: Support domestic and international missions, including itineraries, bookings, accommodation, visas, transfers, travel packs, and logistical checklists. 

  • Administrative Governance and Compliance: Track travel, procurement, payment, invoice, and administrative requests and help ensure that documentation and approvals are completed on time. 

  • Executive Office Coordination: Assist with meetings, calendars, agendas, materials, attendance lists, action trackers, and coordination across internal teams. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Protocol: Support contact databases, invitation lists, high-level visits, delegations, events, accreditation, registration, and VIP arrangements. 

  • Reporting and Process Improvement: Conduct basic research, prepare mission summaries and administrative reports, maintain operational trackers, and help improve office processes and tools. 

Candidate Profile 

Required background
  • Strong academic background, ideally in business administration, international relations, communications, public policy, finance, logistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and service orientation.
  • Professionalism, discretion, maturity, reliability, and sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and seniority levels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English; French is strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

  • Improved tracking and follow-through on selected action items and cross-functional priorities;
  • Demonstrated understanding of Africa50’s business model, investment priorities, institutional positioning, and stakeholder environment;
  • Strong judgment, discretion, reliability, and ability to operate under compressed timelines.

Position Information

  • Location: Hybrid / Casablanca

  • Duration: 3–6 months, with potential extension 

  • Department and Reporting Line: CEO Office; reporting to the Executive Assistants under the oversight of the Chief of Staff.
