Africa50 and Democratic Republic of Congo Discuss Cooperation

On March 12, 2018, a delegation from shareholder country, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), visited Africa50 headquarters in Casablanca. It was led by Modeste Bahati Lukwebo, Minister of State for Planning, and Tshibangu Kalala, Vice Minister of the Prime Minister. Representing Africa50 were members of the senior leadership team including CEO Alain Ebobisse, COO Carole Wainaina, Chief Counsel Kimberly Heimert, Director of Project Development Koffi Klousseh, and Head of Infrastructure Investments Raza Hasnani.

They presented an overview of Africa50 and explained how it can support financing of infrastructure projects in the DRC. Delegation members, in turn, identified projects they felt would benefit from Africa50’s expertise and involvement. The Africa50 team expressed interest in some of the projects and suggested a future visit to the DRC to advance the discussions.
