Anne Ranasinghe Appointed Head of Risk at Africa50

Casablanca, October 29, 2019 - Africa50, the pan-African infrastructure investment platform, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne Ranasinghe as Head of Risk. 

Anne, a British national, has substantial experience in the African infrastructure space in risk management, operations, and finance. Prior to joining Africa50, she was Managing Director at Anvira for three years providing consultancy services in operations, finance, and corporate governance functions for start-up and established firms. From 2006 – 2016 she was Chief Operating/Finance Officer at Frontier Markets Fund Managers (FMFM), firstly a division of Standard Bank and then operating as Harith Partners UK Limited. FMFM provided fund management and advisory support to the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF) and GuarantCo (GCo).  Anne’s responsibilities included establishing and running the risk, finance and operations functions.  She was instrumental in growing the assets under management from $305 million to over $2 billion.  She started her career in finance, accounting and operations positions at Standard Bank, Société General, BNP Paribas, and KPMG.

Anne holds an MBA from Cass Business School, a Masters in Control Systems Engineering from Imperial College London, and a BSc (Hons) in Control, Instrumentation, and Systems Engineering from City University.

Anne will develop and lead the enterprise risk management function across Africa50.
