Akef Abdel Latif El Maghraby

Mr. El Maghraby is the Vice Chairman of Banque Misr, the first wholly-Egyptian-owned commercial bank. Akef is responsible for all Lines of Business at the bank, including Corporate, Treasury, Investment, SMEs, Retain, Branches, Islamic Financing, Global Transactions, International Business, and Financial Inclusion.  He also is Chairman of Misr Bank Europe, Misr Digital Innovation, and Misr Capital and a Board Member of the Egyptian Banking Institute and Egypt Air. Previously, Mr. El Maghraby spent 16 years at Citibank Egypt, ultimately as Head for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking. 

Mr. El Maghraby holds a BA in Accounting and Finance and an MBA from the American University of Cairo.
