COVID-19 has triggered an unprecedented demand for digital innovations and an acceleration of the digital economy. During the session, speakers will share their experience and thoughts on how such opportunities can be turned into viable projects that will make Africa more resilient during and after this crisis, while driving economic growth.
The session will take place, during the Business Tomorrow show and will be moderated by Forbes Africa Editor, Chris Bishop.

Unveiling the Finalists of Africa50’s first Innovation Challenge
The panel discussion will be followed by the unveiling of the finalists of Africa50’s first Innovation Challenge which focused on sourcing solutions to help address last mile/ rural internet connectivity in Africa. The winning solutions will receive cash prizes and/or will be considered for project development funding. Projects would be rolled-out in Rwanda as the pilot country, with the objective to scale to other countries in Africa.
